This is Bizenghast, a new manga from TOKYOPOP.Our story begins in a sad and run-down little town called Bizenghast, a once booming mill town that has been deserted and the remaining inhabitants are completely out of touch with the rest of the world. Dinah is a teenage girl who lives with her aunt in Bizenghast, after losing her parents in a terrible accident. Unfortunately, the tragic events have left Dinah completely mad but also allowing her to see the many ghosts that walk the streets of Bizenghast.
Unfortunately, things don't get better. When Dinah and her friend Vincent stumble upon a nasty little secret that the town has been trying to hide, they are forced to enter into a contract that has, shall we say "evil" aspects to it.
Bizenghast was created by M Alice LeGrow, a runner up in the 2nd Rising Stars of Manga contest. Volume 1 hit the streets last August and Volume 2 was just released on June 13th. For more information, visit TOKYOPOP's website.
