In a recent press release, FUNimation announced that CLAMP is making their first U.S. appearance ever.

The 4-women team will make their first U.S. tour at this year's Anime Expo. Co-sponsored by Anime Expo, FUNimation, Del Rey Manga and TOKYOPOP, CLAMP will be the guest of honor at this year's Anime Expo held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Although the exact itinerary has yet to be announced, events include a discussion panel, autograph sessions and opening ceremonies. There will also be an exclusive screening of Tsubasa, with CLAMP presenting.

CLAMP is comprised of four brilliant female artists - Satsuki Igarashi, Ageha Ohkawa, Tsubaki Nekoi and Mokona - and has been creating original mangas in Japan since 1989. With a wide collection of popular titles, they are most notably known for Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, Magic Knight Rayearth and Angelic Layer.

The Anime Expo runs July 1 through the 4th. You can get complete convention details at AnimeExpo.org and stay tuned for more details regarding the CLAMP itinerary.
