Say Goodbye to Toonami
Monday September 22, 2008
After running nothing but Naruto for quite some time now, Cartoon Network announced that its Toonami programming block signed off for the last time on Saturday, September 20th.
Toonami has been a part of Cartoon Network for over 11 years and used to feature a variety of anime series and specials. The popular internet-based Toonami Jetstream is expected to continue.

Wow, thats crazy. I guess it’s somewhat okay. I mean, they would never be able to air Naruto Shippudden. So whats the point. But nonetheless, wow.
Omg, jeez. Who would have thought. Well, RIP Toonami. Also, I agree with Momo. The new Naruto became less kid friendly.
I guess it was inevitable. Toonami had a great run though. I enjoyed it thoroughly back in the day. Still, it is sad. I credit Toonami and the old Midnight Run for getting me addicted to anime in the first place. ^_^
Well, yeah its a little sad that its ending but on the other hand it ran for 11 years. With licensing issues and the increased maturity levels of anime its not too surprising that they would have to end at some point.
WOW, i used to look forward to Saturdays late night , but i hope something new follows
good i hope they put some new anime on. tom morrow i didnt like. the first one was cuter and fun to watch. Anime freaks should have a day all their own like Anime Fridays
