KamiKaze Volume 1

TOKYOPOP
Written by Satoshi Shiki (Riot) and produced by TOKYOPOP, KamiKaze is the story of Misao, our unsuspecting heroine who is actually the Girl of Water, one of 5 Kegai no Tami - an ancient clan representing the forces of nature. 3 of the Kegai (Fire, Wind and Void) want to use Misao's blood to release the legendary 88 beasts who have been imprisoned for over 1000 years. Only Kamuro, the Man of Earth, wants to save Misao and protect the world from the wrath of the 88 beasts.

Ishigami Kamuro - Your KamiKaze Hero

Ishigami Kamuro is a talented and skilled warrior who, for reasons unknown decides to protect the Girl of Water from the other three Kegai. He finds her in the body of Misao Mikogami, an average and unsuspecting high-school girl with no memory of her past and no knowledge of her impending danger. After reminder Misao of her ancient yet powerful history, he offers her the opportunity to go with him and fight against the three Kegai no Tami. Misao agrees.

Kamuro was born with a stone in his hand, an interesting abnormalty that he claims improves his fighting skills. His weapon of choice is a katana. Although his instincts are good, he is outmatched by Higa, the Man of Fire who ultimately takes Misao away.
