Aki is a shy, introverted teen trying to cope with the death of her older brother. This, coupled with the daily pressures being the most bullied kid in school, lead to her having mysterious blackouts. Entire days begin to be unaccounted for as Aki finds strange items in her closet. Adding to her bewilderment is that the cutest boy in school suddenly takes an interest in her. As Aki wonders if her grip on reality is slowly slipping away, something even more shocking might be behind this haunting tale...

Created by Sho Murase, Me2 is a long walk down a dark alley, where depression, confusion and an unraveling life seem to dominate our heroine's existence. When her brother Ken dies in a mysterious fire, Aki is left alone to try to pick up the pieces. And then the blackouts start and Aki begins to think she might be losing her mind.

Likened to a brakeless roller coaster by Troy Lewter (the TOKYOPOP Editor), Me2 is beautifully crafted, with rich artwork and a piece-by-piece story line that has you on the edge of your seat at page 1. Don't believe me? Check out the sneak preview on TOKYOPOP's online manga player. And then head to your favorite manga store this Tuesday (7/10) for the release of Volume 1.
