A magical sword and an evil plot to steal it. This is Archlord, one of the many new mangas from TOKYOPOP.Based on the original MMORPG, Archlord is the story of Zian, son to the king Leon Manas. Manas was murdered by his most trusted knight, Ernan and the sword taken. Ernan also ordered Zian to be killed, but the murderers encountered a stranger who defeated them and disappeared with the infant into the woods. Now, Ernan is a feared and brutal tyrant, but because the sword - Brumhart - can only be weilded by an heir to the House of Manas, Ernan cannot release its power. Sixteen years later, Zian is ready to claim his right to the throne and to Brumhart, and so our adventure begins.
Written by Jin-Wan Park (Andante, Blood Devil), Archlord is a fantasy epic where good and evil aren't so clearly defined.
