If you really want to step up your anime activity, building a fan site is a great way to start. Pick your favorite anime series or, if you're feeling really adventurous, pick two or three.
Starting an anime club takes some work, but it's well worth it in the end. Not only will you enjoy some cool anime showings but you'll also make a ton of new anime friends.

If you've got something to say about an anime series (and who doesn't?), why not put pen to paper (or fingers to keys) and send it to me for posting. You might also consider forwarding your prose to one of the many anime magazines for publication. It might just turn into a regular anime writing gig.
AMV's are a blast to make and just as much fun to watch. It can be a tedious and time-consuming project but you'll have fun regardless.
