As a long-time fan of Dragonball Z, I thought it might be fun to look at some of the fighting techniques that made it so great. Here's some of the most notable moves in DBZ.

Big Bang Attack - A Vegeta specialty, this Super Sayain move focuses a big blast of Ki into one powerful and destructive blast. Bye, bye Android 19.

Body Change - Used by Captain Ginyu, the body change attack actually allows the user to change bodies with his opponent. Ginyu used this move while fighting Goku after Goku had inflicted some serious damage. The result was Ginyu in a strong Goku body and Goku left to deal with Ginyu's bumps and bruises.

Death Ball - Small but deadly, this is the ball of energy that Frieza shoots from his fingertip to cause major destruction. This is the move that killed Krillin (Goku's "last straw" to go Super-Saiyan for the first time) and brought Planet Namek to its end.

Energy Kyushu - A move used by Androids 19 and 20, this technique allows the user to absorb the energy of his or her opponent. Remember the little red balls on the palms of their hands?

Kamehameha - Dragonball Z just wouldn't be complete without the Kamehameha. Most often used by Goku and Gohan, this move sent a big blast of Ki energy in the direction of the opponent.

Galick-Ho - Vegeta's answer to the Kamehameha, this move is almost identical but Vegeta puts both palms forward when he releases the blast.

Spirit Bomb - Another Dragonball Z classic, the Spirit Bomb was taught to Goku by King Kaio. Basically, Goku gathers energy from all the other life forces, forming a huge power "ball" that can be thrown at his opponent. The drawback is that this energy gathering process can take time and as we all know, Goku's opponents weren't always willing to wait.

Fire Breath - Used by Dabura (in addition to his spitting attack), this technique shoot a big flame of fire at his opponent.

Kakusanyudokodan - A Piccolo special, this move creates several bolts of Ki that surround the opponent and then explode on their target at the same time.

Haretsu no Majo - Remember how Babidi could make people explode? Well, this is the move he used. Unfortunately for him however, it only worked on the weaker Earthlings and had no effect on the Z-Fighters.

And there you have it. Ten memorable moves from Dragonball Z. Certainly not the whole list, but it does encompass some of the more common moves. And as a little added bonus, remember how Goku could pop in from one place to another in the blink of an eye? That was called the "Instant Transmission," a move he learned from the Yardrats.
