After an environmental disaster, great cities have been transformed into vast wastelands. Such is the case in the Kanto Desert, where survivors try to continue on as if nothing had changed and show little sign that they've learned from their mistakes.
Another futuristic, post-apocolyptic, survival of the fittest anime? Not quite. Based on the manga and anime series "Sunabozu", Desert Punk is a lively mix of action, attitude and the stereotypical weaknesses of men.

Volume 1 - Enter the Desert
Volume 1 contains four great episodes that lay a solid groundwork for the rest of the story. You're immediately introduced to key characters including the Punk, the Machinegun Brothers and Junko, the well-endowed siren of the sand. After discovering that he and his arch-enemy Rain Spider are after the same man, Desert Punk doesn't take the competition lightly. Deeply in debt, he later accepts an assignment offered by Junko but quickly finds out he doesn't have all the facts. Not only will he need to work with the Machinegun Brothers, but they'll all have to face Fire Dragon Kong. The Characters
Meet Kanta Mizuno, a resident of the Kanto Desert and a professional bounty hunter who's reputation precedes him. Known as Sunabozu (loosely translated "Desert Punk"), this Ghost of the Desert is a mercenary-for-hire and he never, ever loses his man. But when he meets Junko and her large..um.. proportions, it becomes clear that Desert Punk may just have met his match.Speaking of Junko, she's not just another pretty face. Clever and conniving, Junko will do anything for money and has the brains to make "anything" work. Her daughter Kosuna, has a crush on Desert Punk and desperately want to be his apprentice in training.
Rain Spider is Punk's most fierce rival, a mysterious and masterful mercenary on the heels of Punk's future successes.
The Machingun Brothers? They're a band of mercs in their own right and haven't quite yet decided if they like Desert Punk or want to finish him off.
