For those of you in need of a good anime con, here's a nice twist: Gen Con Indy is one of the biggest gaming conventions around and because anime has been such a big hit, they're bringing back Anime Avenue again this year.What's Anime Avenue?
Only complete immersion into the anime world, including plenty of video rooms with anime video screenings as well as a chance for amateur artists to show their wares at Artists' Alley.
There's also a Manga Library, where you can check out manga for free and read at your leisure in the quiet library lounge. Gaia Online will also be on hand showing off some of the new features and giving Gaia members a chance to meet each other in person.
Of course, there will still be plenty of goodies via the exhibitors' booths so you can be sure to walk away with some new anime collectibles.
Gen Con Indy 2008 will be held at the Indiana Convention Center (Anime Avenue will be in the Westin hotel right across from the Center) from August 14 thru the 17th.
