We all love anime. And we all love our heros. Goku, Vash, even those crazy Sailor Scouts. But what about the bad guys? The ones we love to hate. They're the reason our heros become heroes in the first place. Well, here's a little tribute to all those villains out there. I hope you're listening. :)
Okay, I know what you're thinking. Cell? Sure, he's bad and all, but what about Buu? Well, yes. Buu was one tough cookie (pun definitely intended). But he had a good side in him -- a really good side. Cell, on the other hand, was pure-D evil. Or should I say pure-DBZ evil? That and the fact that his fight scenes with Gohan are some of my all-time favs earns him the number 1 spot.
Another DBZ favorite, Frieza just never gives up on the whole world domination thing. His greed and arrogance are ultimately his undoing, but he just won't give in, even when he's sliced in two on the dying planet Namek. You gotta' admire his persistence.
Yes, he's the star of the show. And no, he's not someone we love to hate. So why did he make my top picks? Lupin is a thief -- a professional thief -- and gets his kicks by making Zenigata (Interpol's finest) look really, really bad. A guy we love to love? Perhaps, but I can't very well put him in the hero category, now can I?
4. Yura
Looks that could kill and hands that frequently do, Yura is one of the first demons we meet in the Inuyasha series. She's tough, ruthless and ever so cocky, not to mention pretty darn talented with a sword. If I had to be a demon, it'd definitely be Yura.A true villian, Vicious is the arch-enemy of Spike in Cowboy Bebop. Evil to the core, Vicious stops at nothing to kill our beloved Mr. Spiegel.
Cold and bloodlust as vampires should be, the Count is that and more. A wicked man full of arrogance and hate, he more than qualifies for my top bad guy picks.
7. Queen Beryl
Forget ruling the world... this Sailor Moon chick wants the whole universe. Cold and calculating, Beryl respects no-one, least of all her own henchmen. Bad Beryl. Bad.
