The Bottom Line
If you like that disoriented feeling you get from watching Lost, then you'll like Ergo Proxy. Volume 5 continues the story of Vincent, Re-l and the rest of our beloved cast, giving you just enough to keep you hungry but never enough to give you your fill. Its fun, its dark and its oh-so-mind-boggling... definitely worth the watch.

Guide Review - Ergo Proxy - Volume 5: Terra Incognita
In Volume 5, we find Vincent still struggling with his identity, particularly the fact that he has no real memories of his past. He gets close in this sequence after arriving at Mosk, but not before his Proxy intervenes to keep the secrets... well, secret.
There is the distinct sense of a climax brewing here, although we're not quite sure what that is. Raul is now on the run in Romdo while Re-l and Vincent discover a group of weird humanoids in a cave. And after finally reaching their destination of Mosk, they discover that the trail leads them back to Romdo.
Want me to explain that again?
It wouldn't matter. So far, Ergo Proxy has been quite skilled at keeping things under cover but with just one more DVD to go, you have to believe that everything is about to fall into place. Yet, even as lost as this series leaves me, I am actually quite into the entire story and can't wait to see where all of this leads.
