If you're a fan of Japanese classics, you might remember the popular 1954 movie, Seven Samaurai. If so, you're going to love Samurai 7, a new anime series from FUNimation.Based on Akira Kurosawa's original movie, Samurai 7 is the story of Kanna, a quaint little village with a big, nasty problem: mechanical robots called the Nobuseri, come every harvest and steal away all their rice as well as the women and children of the village. Because the people of Kanna are peaceful, they cannot fight but know that they must find away to stop the Nobuseri.
The solution? Hire a samurai to protect the village. But where to find one? Three of the villagers volunteer to seek out such a brave protector.
And the journey begins...
Samurai 7 is an intensely raw anime series full of action, adventure and sci-fi thrills. Violence, language and a bit of nudity give this anime a parental guidance warning - it's definitely not for the little ones - but teenagers and above should handle it fine.
