Are you a transformer fan? Wish they'd bring back the big robots of yesteryear? Well, know they have.Straight from DreamWorks SKG and Paramount Pictures, the Transformers are bigger, better and yes... they're back. Set to release on July 4th, 2007, the Transformers movie is the story of an intergalactic war between two races of robots - the Autobots (good guys) and the Decepticons (bad guys). Unfortunately, the Earth is caught right in the middle.
The robots hail from the planet Cybertron and both sides (good and bad) have the ability to transform into other mechanisms, such as cars, trucks and even a gun (Megatron). With fuel supplies low on Cybertron, the robots venture out into space to find a new resource and wouldn't you know it...has just the fuel they need.
Written by John Rogers (co-writer Catwoman) and then rewritten by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (Legend of Zorro), Transformers will feature the voice of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and a star-studded cast that includes Jon Voight (Keller), Shia LaBeouf (Spike Witwicky), John Duhamel (Lennox) and Bernie Mac (Bobby Bolivia). Michael Bay (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville Horror) will direct and Stephen Spielberg and Brian Goldner will produce.
