What happens when GONZO and Samuel L Jackson come together? Whatever it is, you know its going to be good. Based on the graphic novel by Takashi Okazaki, Afro Samurai is a story that mixes ancient Japan with a futuristic world. Afro (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson), is a lone samurai looking for revenge for the wrongful death of his father. During his travels, he encounters a variety of friends and enemies along the way, growing ever closer to the one he seeks: the man that won't die.
Samuel L. Jackson will also co-produce the series, set to air on Spike TV in November, 2006. FUNimation Entertainment has picked up the home video, toy and merchandising rights and expect the DVD to release in early 2007.
