What's new on the VIZ horizon? Apparently, the brains at VIZ Media have been busy because they announced some great new releases at the New York Comic Con. First out is MAR, the story of Ginta Toramiza. Ginta is a not-so-popular 14 year-old boy with not alot to brag about. But in his dreams, he's strong, agile and (thankfully) has 20/20 vision. Ginta's dream finally comes true when a supernatural being appears and takes him to his alternate Universe. There, Ginta must find magical items, one of which might send him back to his ordinary life. Based on the manga (Flame of Recca) by Nobiyuki Anzai, MAR is the perfect anime for sci-fi fans and hits your favorite DVD store on June 12, 2007
Next on the list is a special Naruto - The Lost Story Mission: Protect the Waterfall Village - a 40-minute DVD that will include an exclusive Bandai Naruto CCG trading card and a never-before-seen extended trailer for the upcoming Naruto movie, set to hit the theaters this summer. Naruto, The Lost Story Mission hits the streets on May 22, 2007.
And last but certainly not least is the first Death Note DVD. Scheduled to debut this fall, the DVD will include English subtitles, special packaging and a few extra Death Note goodies. You can see two Death Note trailers by visiting the official website.
