The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is holding a day of free events throughout New York City on February 7, 2006. The goal is to increase awareness of Japan's customs and cultures. Appropriately titled Tokyo Festa, events include the En-Nichi Market - a recreation of an old Edo marketplace, Taiko of Edo - Japanese drums, also known as Wadaiko, and the Tokyo Anime Showcase - sneak peeks at new anime not yet released in the states.For details, visit the Tokyo Festa website directly at TokyoFesta.com.
