If not, you're missing some exciting releases.Hitting the shelves on August 23, 2005, Japanese animation film distributor Manga Entertainment released Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll and Blood: The Last Vampire on UMD for viewing on the Sony PSP.
Ghost in the Shell
Based on the original manga by Masamune Shirow, Director Mamoru Oshiis original anime feature film Ghost in the Shell premiered back in the mid 80's and was became an instant anime classic. The sci-fi story of Major Motoko Kusanagi, a top cyberspace agent for Sector 9, Ghost in the Shell combines excellent animation with an action-packed story, making it a favorite among anime fans everywhere.
Ninja Scroll
Produced by MADHOUSE, Ninja Scroll is set in an ancient Japan and tells the story of Jubei, a masterless wandering swordsman looking for The Shogun of the Dark, an evil autocrat who plans to overthrow Japans Tokugawa government. But to stop him, Jubei must first battle The 8 Devils of Kimon, demonic henchmen who serve the Shogun. Exceptionally animated and incredibly intense, Ninja Scroll is a definite anime must-have.
Blood: The Last Vampire
A gem in the crown of Production I.G. Studios, Blood: The Last Vampire is an anime masterpiece. The story of Saya, innocent looking schoolgirl who is actually the last remaining "pure blood" vamp who is looking to find - and kill- the Teropterids, a new form of shape-changing beasts that feed on human blood. If you like supernatural, you'll love Blood.
