Once again, Fullmetal is partnering with PS2, this time in a great new game called Curse of the Crimson Elixir. In Elixir, you have five worlds at your disposal. Lior is a desert city where followers of Leto, the Sun God reside. Hearing of a prophet performing miracles, Ed and Al decide to check it out. Do these miracles have something to do with the Philosopher's Stone?
The second world is East City, home to the military's East Headquarters and a large number of civilians. Resembool is Ed and Al's hometown and while the memories may be friendly, there's something going on in the caves that have Ed and Al's interest peaked. Bord'Wan is a small village that has been mysteriously destroyed and your last world, Siam Sid is the capital of ancient civilization. It's supposed to be deserted...
As for the game play, you'll find Ed's hand-to-hand combat skills are much better than in Broken Angel and he's acquired a respectable set of defensive skills as well. You'll also be able to give Al directives, allowing the two of you to "cooperate" when you're facing multiple enemies.
Fullmetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir is scheduled to hit your favorite PS2 shelf on July 15, 2005. For screen shots, game info and some cool multimedia downloads, visit Square Enix's official FMA2 website.
