Still looking for that break in the anime industry? Here's some intern positions that just might do the trick.Bang Zoom! Entertainment has an internship program that caters to individuals seeking hands-on experience in the entertainment business. They specialize in creating English language versions of popular anime titles for U.S. release and are also in the process of launching a new anime review show - Anime TV - available for podcast in February 2007. Remember, these aren't paid gigs - but if you're looking to get your foot in the door, an internship can definitely help.
Currently, Bang Zoom! is looking for the following:
Anime Assistant
Duties include coordination of actors, writers and directors; booking recording studios and talent, supervise online video editing, casting assistance and management of assets.
Art Design Intern
Need design intern to assist in creating all printed and website materials. Requires knowledge of Japanese animation, comic books and familiarity with the Japanese culture. Must know Mac, be organized, meet deadlines and be a team player. Must also know Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, drawing, illustration and storyboarding. Approximately 20 hours a week with a minimum of three month commitment.
Marketing
Assist with coordinating, researching and developing marketing strategies. Work with production staff to help coordinate sponsorships and product placement. Prefer a minimum of three days per week with a minimum commitment of three months. Knowledge of MS Office programs (specifically Word & Excel) required. File Maker Pro preferred but not required.
Website Design
Assist with updating websites with streaming video and creating Flash integration. Must know Mac, Macromedia Flash and HTML. Need Dreamweaver skills, Macromedia Fireworks, site design & programming, streaming video knowledge and Photoshop. Approximately 20 hours a week with minimum of three month commitment.
