What do you get when you cross an orphaned girl, a family curse and the Chinese Zodiac?  Fruits Basket, of course.  The latest release from FUNimation Productions, LTD, Fruits Basket is a sweet and humorous story based on the #1 manga by Takaya Natsuki.

Tohru Honda is a high-school student who lives alone in a tent after recently losing her mother in a car accident.  Not wanting to be a burden on others, Tohru decides she can make it on her own and fulfill her mother's wish by graduating from school.  Little does she know that the land she's camping on belongs to Yuki Sohma, the "Prince of Kaiwaia High" and his family.  As the Sohma's are all males, they immediately invite Tohru to live with them in exchange for her cooking and housekeeping skills.  A little odd, to say the least but hey, its better than the tent.  But Tohru is in for more than she bargained for... the Sohma family is cursed and will turn into an animal of the Chinese Zodiac if hugged by a member of the opposite sex.
