Summer Fun.. Summer Anime... On the Big Screen ADV Films has confirmed the making of a live-action Evangelion. Partnering with Gainax Network Systems (a pioneer of NGE) and Weta Workshop, Ltd. (Lord of the Rings), ADV has acquired the rights to make the full-feature and has already begun production. Can we say sweet? Busy, busy... FUNimation has been busy as well, with the acquisition of Detective Conan and the celebration of its 200th consecutive week in the Lycos Top 10. As a thank you, FUNimation is giving away 200 Dragonball DVD's. Check out DragonBall.com for details on how to win. Bandai Entertainment has their own host of news to share from the premier of Big O II on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim beginning in August to the release of Witch Hunter Robin, a new sci-fi anime hit straight from Japan. Also on the agenda is the upcoming release of the new .hack//SIGN trading card game set for October. On the Tube And, speaking of Adult Swim, Trigun has finally made its way to mainstream television. You can catch Mr. Vash at 1 a.m. eastern time on Cartoon Network.
