Q.  Who are the main characters?

A.  Sakura is our heroine, the card captor (she's also the one who set the cards free in the first place).  Chiharu Mihara is one of Sakura's best friends as is Tomoyo Daidouji, who provides Sakura with anything she needs for clow card capturing and films her adventures.  Touya Kinomoto is Sakura's older brother who, in addition to protecting Sakura from danger, can see ghosts. Yukito Tsukishiro is Touya's best friend.  Sakura has a huge crush on him but (as is always the case) he likes her best friend, Touya.
