Neon Genesis Evangelion - Platinum Edition

Evangelion fans should hold on to their hats. ADVFilms has announced a release date for the first of seven platinum editions.

Set to release on July 27, 2004, Neon Genesis Evangelion - Platinum: 01 will be the first of seven DVD volumes and will include new commentary from cast and crew as well as four bonus Directors’ Cut episodes and seven animatics (moving storyboards). Each volume will also come with a limited edition collector’s slipcover.

Created by Hideaki Anno (Nadia), Neon Genesis Evangelion has been a long-time favorite among the anime community. This DVD collection will feature the original episodes, fully remastered by GAINAX to produce a stunning anime experience.
