Duelmasters Takes TCG to the Next Level

Trading card games boomed with the premier of Pokemon and, more recently Yu-Gi-Oh. But now we're ready to take it to the next level. And that level is called Duelmasters.

One of Japan's hottest trading card games, DuelMasters is coming to the states. Originally written as the anime for Magic: The Gathering, DuelMasters evolved into a story all its own and has taken the anime world by storm.

So where is DuelMasters? Everywhere. You can catch the anime series at 7pm Saturdays on Cartoon Network, grab the manga at your favorite comic book store and, sometime in the latter part of 2004, grab the action figures off the shelf.

New Anime from ADV

ADV Films is offering a hefty dose of new anime. Four new DVD series are available for your viewing pleasure: Gunsmith Cats:Bulletproof!, Legend of Crysania: The Motion Picture, Cutey Honey and Goldenboy. Also added to their long list of titles are 37, count em 37 new manga titles, including Daemon Hunter and Fantasy Land.

Galerians: Rion

Also hitting the streets this month is the new Galerians: Rion DVD from Image Entertainment. A sci-fi thriller, this great anime features a soundtrack that includes music from Skinny Puppy, The Vandals and Slipknot. Watch for a review coming up soon.

Pop Anime

Those of you who enjoy Russian pop duo t.A.T.u. ("All The Things She Said") will love this: Lena and Yulia have received an anime makeover. Expected to hit worldwide in late 2004, t.A.T.u. PARAGATE is a 100 minute anime movie featuring the two lovelies and a few monsters for good measure.
