Anime is no exception. Imported directly from our friends in the East, many anime features are dubbed for the English speaking audience. Some are good and some are not, but the alternative is sub-titles and who wants to "read" a movie?
So, what do you think? Subbed or dubbed?
What's all the Fuss About?
Truth be told, dubbing has come along way and, being that its animated, the mis-match of mouth movements to actual audio isn't really as bad as the Godzilla days. But it still isn't perfect and the lower the budget, the worse the dub.Subbing, or sub-titles leave the movie itself in tact which, I'm sure we all agree, is a very good thing. The problem is that we spend as much time reading the text as we do watching the action. Another problem with subbing? Sometimes the typists don't know how to spell.
