We're finally closing out the year's roundup of best anime titles here at Anime.About.com, and the last article in this series collects anime from all those categories that didn't quite fit anywhere else.
I confess I've got a real fondness for these sorts of potpourri roundups, where there's no real overarching theme except "Hey, here's something you might have missed!" or "Why isn't anyone talking about this show?" That's the sort of spirit of discovery that gets many people into anime in the first place, and it's something I like to keep alive here whenever possible.
Some of the titles listed here have been echoed elsewhere in our roundup, but deserved mention again here for one reason or another. Katanagatari, for instance (pictured above), made it onto our list of best new BD/DVD releases of the year, but also deserved mention for being a great anime concealed behind a less-than-auspicious title. (This happens far too often than it should.)
