As is always the way, there were lots of announcements from anime distributors at the New York Anime Festival. One worth noting was the acquisition of two true anime classics - Initial D and X - by FUNimation.
Although Tokyopop had previously released the first two Initial D stages, FUNimation has said the new release will keep the original music tracks but boast a new English cast.
