Yu-Gi-Oh! Goes 3D

According to a post at Anime Nation, the November issue of V Jump magazine includes a very exciting piece of news: a new movie is in the works for the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise.. and this one is in 3-D.

Celebrating the franchise's tenth anniversary, the new movie will feature the three heroes from the TV anime series - Yuugi Mutou, Judai Yuki and Yusei Fudo - all joining forces to battle a brand new villian named Paradox.

But before the big 3-D debut, the three heroes will team up in an anime short that will screen as part of the Jump Super Anime Tour this fall.

The 3-D movie is planned for a 2010 release at theaters in Japan. No word yet on when it might make it to the rest of the world.
