According to a post at ANN, Lucent Pictures was showing off promos for its new project, Squad, at the Tokyo International Anime Fair 2009. The film is a collaboration project with Masamune Shirow (Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell) and sports a tag line that reads "A battle for the front mission - I'll cover your back."
No word yet on when Squad will be released or what the storyline will be but with Shirow involved, you can bet the news will travel fast.
