Looks like anime fans have something to look forward to in 2009:
First up, the 13th movie in the Detective Conan franchise (that's Case Closed for North American fans) is set to open in Japan on April 18, 2009. The trailer for Detective Conan: The Raven Chaser can be seen online at the official website.
Pokemon will also once again grace the big screen - this time with Pocket Monster Diamond & Pearl: To The Conquest of Space and Time (Chokoku no Jiku). Set to hit the theaters in Japan on July 18, 2009, this will be the 12th movie in the Pokemon franchise and is the last in the Diamond & Pearl trilogy. You can catch the trailer at the official Japanese Pokemon website.
Also on the list, a Duel Masters Cross film is schedule for Japanese release in the fall of 2009. Based on the Duel Masters manga and subsequent television series, this will be the second film in the franchise.
