No More Saturday Morning Cartoons On Fox
Sunday November 30, 2008
Fox is trading in its Saturday morning cartoon bonanza for station-controlled infomercials and local programming.
After 4Kids sued the Fox network in the early part of 2008, the two companies decided to end their programming arrangement and as of January 1st, 4Kids will no longer provide Fox with its Saturday morning programming.
What does this mean for you?
Well, in addition to old favorites such as TMNT, 4Kids also holds broadcast rights to shows such as Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dinosaur King so if these were part of your Saturday morning lineup, you'll soon have to look elsewhere for your weekend anime fix.
On a good note, 4Kids still manages The CW programming so we'll likely see most of our favorites showing up there instead.

I guess Saturday morning cartoons are a thing of the past with the major stations anymore. I remember as a kid, I’d be excited to check out the TV Guide during their “new shows” editions to see what cartoons were going to be on for Saturdays. Then ABC, CBS and NBC went with morning news shows, and now Fox is going with infomercials (beh).
Those shows have already moved to CW anyway.
Most new cartoons go straight to Cartoon Network anyway.
i used to be able to switch between channels to watch all the different cartoons, then switch back again. i loved the Choice. but with less channels, there is not enough room to show all the different shows, and with less variety, there’s a little chance of finding a toon i’d like to watch
