In a recent press releaes, VIZ Media announced that it will partner with Konami Digital Entertainment (KDE) to manufacture and distribute the Blue Dragon Trading Card Game. Based on the Xbox 360 video game, the Blue Dragon TCG is apparently the first in a line of Blue Dragon merchandise planned by VIZ and KDE. "The continued development of Blue Dragon from a video game to an animated series and now a Trading Card Game demonstrates the successful convergence of all these entertainment and media genres," said David Rewalt, Senior Director of Licensing and Retail Development at VIZ. "With established legacies in these arenas, VIZ Media and KDE will continue to develope the Blue Dragon brand through a variety of innovative and fun products."

FUNimation's latest podcast (the FUNimation Update) includes an interview with Caitlin Glass, the director of Ouran High School Host Club plus a trailer for Baldr Force EXE and clips of new releases including School Rumble OVA, Shuffle Volume 4 and xxxHolic Third Collection. The official Kaito Tenshi Twin Angel website has posted a 30-second promo trailer for the anime series. Based on characters for a pachi-slo game (slot machines for Japanese pachinko parlors), the two-volume video series is expected to release on August 8th.
