Here's the latest this week in anime and manga news :)

The Brampton Library in Brampton, Canada has created a new anime-manga club just for teens. The club will meet the third Wednesday of every month from 5 to 7pm through June of 2008. Ages 14 to 18 are invited to attend and joining the club is free. Activities include manga readings, story discussions, anime viewings and web site publishing. Astro Boy creators Tezuka Production has named Nokia's SNAP Mobile to develop and distribute Java-based Astro Boy games for your mobile phone. Astro Boy Game Flight will allows players to fight crime in space as well as on land and sea, with different challenges in each environment. A second game, Astro Boy Reversi, will give players the ability to tap into the SNAP Mobile community features such as multiplayer gaming. Both games are expected to release in Europe in 2008 with future rollouts to follow.

Is the Wii worth it? It is if you want to get a taste of Bleach: Shattered Blade and according to columnist Ben Winslow at the Deseret Morning News, its a good investment to make. Rated "T" for Teens, use your Wii remote as a sword to battle your way to the top. Choose from 32 characters, each with their own special powers and weapons.

New anime player New Galaxy Anime has announced its formation and touts Unico as its first DVD debut, release date to be announced. NGA will specialize in all anime genres with a special interest in shojo for young girls.

Think your life should be a manga? Well, prove it! Flip.com and Shojo Beat are hosting a "Create A Flipbook" managa style contest. Just create your flipbook online at Flip.com and submit. Win and your manga will be published in Shojo Beat magazine! Entries must be received by December 1st, 2007.
