Salon.com columnist Douglas Wolk took a look at Death Note recently, calling the manga "fantastically addictive summer beach reading: a rocket-paced, cherrfully convoluted thriller about a psychotic, nearly omnipotent teenage serial killer". Sounds like a pretty good review to me :)
According to an article at Publisher's Weekly, CLAMP and Dark Horse are joining forces to create a brand new manga series, set to debut in 2009. The deal will give Dark Horse the strong arm it needs to claim a spot in the shojo manga industry, something its been looking at for some time.
