“What if I don’t know how to speak and write japanese?”

I’m a manga writer and artist, and If i were ever turned down by a company because i didn’t speak or write my books in japanese, i’d tell them to go shove it :) . My point being, Tokyo pop isn’t just japanese, they have a US branch and translate comics to English, they even have series that were written by amercians. You don’t need to be, speak, or ever know where japan is in order to write a good manga style comic, just need to have a good idea.

I was browsing the internet, trying to find information on how to publish my work. If there really is a manga contest, it would be my dream to enter. Please! If anyone knows any information on this, please write back. By the way, I never knew so many people were interested in anime. It would be pretty cool to get to know some of you guys. Maybe we could talk over the internet about how to get our works published, and other things relating to that matter.

A lot of people love anime and manga. It’s becomming extremely popular more and more every year. That is why these contests are held. I am studying animation and manga, and I think this is a good chance to show your skills.
If you’re inetersted, simply go to the site provided instead of asking in comments. Read a little, it doesn’t hurt =P
And, maybe try picking up a “Rising Stars of Manga” manga from your library or the book star. You can get a good look at what you need to qualify, and some of the past entries. There’s 3 books out already that I know of. :]
